In the 1980 edition of the Canadian Grand-Prix Alan Jones secured the World Drivers Championship with Williams, but the story of the race was the incredible driving display of Canada's own Gilles Villeneuve.  A collision with Elio de Angelis saw Villeneuve continue racing with his front wing covering his view till it finally flew off. A moment that was been forever etched into motorsport history and the hearts of the Tifosi.
